Vigilant Torch is committed to providing opportunities for members of our community to connect and grow.  The Vigilant Torch Internship Program is a paid internship that will hire two eligible students for 13-month terms.  As interns, they will learn about how non-profits conduct day-to-day business, strategic planning, and other valuable organizational skills.  Our interns will receive training and mentoring from members of our select community and will be pivotal players in Vigilant Torch’s ability to serve and grow.

Eligibility

The candidate must be a full-time or part-time student currently attending secondary education or intend to attend for a minimum of six months out of the cohort year. This includes accredited undergraduate programs, graduate programs, trade schools, and community colleges.

See this policy letter for additional eligibility requirements.

Cohort 1 Term

Hours and Location

This internship is remote (work from home) with no set hours.  The intern can expect to work, on average, five total hours a week, but this will vary greatly from week to week based on Vigilant Torch activities and requirements.  Most work will be asynchronous; however, the intern will be required to attend video teleconferences as required.  We fully acknowledge that the intern will have school, work, and other responsibilities, and we will allow flexibility for the intern to accomplish tasks.
